The Infamous Masterson’s , located in the heart of Moonee Ponds , markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my unfortunate encounter at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I experienced behind its threshold was appalling and beyond comprehension .

From the moment I entered , it was apparent that upkeep was not a priority at this bar . The floors were sticky , and a overpowering stench of uncleaned spills and dirty bathrooms suffused the entire bar . Reeking of a mixture of human waste, old age and a sickly smell. The counter , which should be the focal point of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and litter that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages .
